Phase 2 Update [2025-12-17]

I’m a bit behind in updating the blog again. In late October, our generous donor Apto Solutions provided Reneal with the first batch of laptops for the 2025 Phase 2 projects. We are planning computer labs at eight new schools, as well as replenishing the stock of spares at the Reneal warehouse to serve as replacement units. I am hoping to have the boxes ready for pickup before the New Year. Then Reneal Team Tanzania will do their magic in installing the labs and training the teachers. It will be exciting to add these new schools to the Reneal family!

The Tanzania school year starts in January, so Reneal Team Tanzania is also preparing for the beginning-of-the-year school visits. This is the biggest effort of the year, so we are all preparing to make sure the visits are efficient and effective. The maintenance process has become much more systematized in the past year, and Reneal has made great steps forward in sustainability as a result. We hope to bring a more systematic approach to retraining efforts in 2026, as teachers and school heads transfer between schools regularly.

Part of this year’s shipment will be some equipment to support our long-time partner Arusha Node Marie. We are very excited about this opportunity to reach more students in Tanzania. More on this effort in a future blog post!
