2015 Tanzania Wrap-up [2015-11-15]

At last Neal and I are back home and wrapping up the 2015 Tanzania projects.  This year, Reneal IEO installed computer systems in four schools in Arusha: Mringa Secondary School, Ilboru Secondary School, Enyoito Secondary School, and Oldadai Secondary School.  Reneal IEO also installed a computer system at the United African Alliance Community Center (UAACC) and assisted in an installation at Spiritan Missionary Seminary.  Updates to the previously installed computer labs at Mukulat Secondary School, Mlangarini Secondary School, Mwandet Secondary School, and Ilkiding’a Secondary School were also accomplished. 

The table below provides a summary of the 2015 Reneal projects in Tanzania, including approximate donation amount and approximate number of students at each school.  We would like to acknowledge the generous donation of used computer equipment provided by an American company.  The value of this donation is also included in the summary table, as are shipping costs to transport the equipment from the United States to Tanzania.  The grand total for the 2015 Tanzania projects is 11,208 USD or approximately 24 Million Tanzania Shillings.  Teacher orientation training is offered for schools where the Reneal IEO system is installed, and the number receiving this training is also noted in the table.  For the first time ever in Tanzania, the computer teachers from all schools joined together for System Administration training.  Thanks go to Enyoito Secondary School for hosting this wonderful event.
