Visit of the Mwenge wa Uhuru [2021-06-27]

It’s been a very busy time here at Reneal since my last post.  In Tanzania, Reneal Country Director David Nyangaka worked day and night supporting Arusha Region as it hosted the annual visit of the National Torch.  And here in the US, Phase 2 equipment from Apto Solutions arrived!  We’ve been preparing the shipment that will bring Reneal computer labs to 11 additional public high schools in Tanzania.  Thank you so much, Apto Solutions!

Tanzania’s National Torch (Mwenge wa Uhuru), is an important symbol of national unity and travels throughout the country each year.  The theme for this year’s procession focused on responsible use of Information Technology.  We at Reneal were so thrilled that two of our computer labs were visited by the National Torch contingent!  One of the Reneal’s first computer labs in Arusha District, Mlangarini Secondary School, and one of our newest labs, Longido Secondary School were chosen for this amazing honor.  We are so grateful to these schools for making the most of their equipment for the benefit of the students.  David said that the students at each school did a fantastic job of presenting to the visitors.

It takes a big Team to prepare, install, maintain, and teach with a computer lab – congratulations to everyone involved in making this possible!
