Thank you ClosingTheDivide! [2022-06-20]

Since the last blog post, Reneal was thrilled to receive an additional generous monetary donation from ClosingTheDivide (www.closingthedivide.foundation) in support of Reneal’s 2022 Phase 1 projects.  This donation has been designated to cover the purchased equipment and shipping costs for the new Reneal computer labs that will be installed in six Manyara Region public secondary schools.  Reneal is truly excited to partner with CTD to support a brand new geographical area for us.

We did the final packing of the boxes for Phase 1 over the weekend, and they were delivered to the Sky2C warehouse today for shipping.  A million thanks to Terri Jones at Apto Solutions and the folks at Sky2C for their assistance in this process!  The boxes should be underway soon!  We are also very grateful to Nathan Martinez, Reneal Board member, for coming by early this morning to help Neal and me load the boxes for delivery.  Although there is a long way to go yet for these computers, it’s always nice to see them head out the door.  Through another generous donation of computer equipment from Apto Solutions (www.aptosolutions.com), Reneal Team Tanzania will soon be installing a total of ten new computer labs with units left over to upgrade some existing labs.

Over in Tanzania, Country Director David Nyangaka has been busy working with the ten new schools to prepare their computer rooms.  Tasks include installing computer tables, putting in electrical outlets, adding chairs, and making the room secure with window grills and a heavy door.  David works with the schools from Day 1 to ensure they have a good configuration and are ready on time.  David is also working with the Tanzania Revenue Authority to prepare the paperwork for receiving the equipment.

It takes a whole set of partners to make Reneal’s work possible.  Thanks ClosingTheDivide, Network The World, Apto Solutions, our local and international suppliers, the schools, and the local and regional governments in Tanzania for being a part of this effort!
