Ready to go [2022-08-22]

For the first time in 2-1/2 years, Neal and I are preparing to head to Tanzania!  We are anxiously awaiting a reunion with Reneal Team Tanzania, with a full slate of work planned together in support of the schools there.  Our primary goal is doing a major server software update that will add new maintenance tools and educational resources, update programs and the operating system, and fix some bugs.  We will make some hardware fixes as well while we are there.  It will be a busy 6 weeks, but we are looking forward to having this long-planned update completed.

Since my last blog post, Reneal Team Tanzania installed another one of the 2022 Phase 1 labs, this at Kwaraa Secondary School in Manyara Region.  Thanks so much to Apto Solutions (www.aptosolutions.com) for the generous donation of hardware to make this possible!  ClosingTheDivide (www.closingthedivide.foundation) provided the financial support for this effort.  There are five remaining Phase 1 installations to be done.  The national census resulted in schools being closed in August, so these installations will resume next month once the census is completed.

The next blog post should be coming from Tanzania!
