Phase 3 completed! [2022-05-07]

In the last month Reneal Team Tanzania, joined by our partners Habari Node and Arusha Node Marie, went into overdrive and installed four new computer labs!  Reneal’s Team finished up the final training session last week, bringing to a conclusion Phase 3 of the 2021 Apto Solutions projects.  In the last year, over 500 computers donated by Apto Solutions have been installed to create new computer labs in 22 schools and to expand 5 existing computer labs!

Reneal’s geographical reach also expanded considerably over the course of the year.  For these last installations, the Team traveled to Irkisongo (Monduli District), Oljoro (Arusha District), Kikwe (Meru District), and Themi (Arusha City) Secondary Schools.  Reneal now has computer labs in Arusha, Tanga, and Dodoma Regions!  A million thanks to Apto Solutions for an amazing year of progress in bringing computers to public high school students in Tanzania.

And fittingly, the same week that brought the end of 2021 Phase 3 was also the exciting beginning of 2022 Phase 1!  Neal and I headed up to San Leandro on Monday to Apto Solutions’ local facility to pick up over 200 laptops.  We are so grateful to Tim Farrow at Apto Solutions headquarters in Atlanta and Jason King here in San Leandro for facilitating this donation.  Reneal Board member Katherine Yen has been assisting me this week in checking out and configuring the laptops for deployment.  They are almost ready to go!
