Phase 3 begins [2022-01-29]

Since the last blog post, two new Reneal computer labs have come into existence!  We are very happy to welcome Amani Abeid Karume Secondary School and Nkoarua Secondary School to the Reneal family!  These new labs each have 20 laptops for use by students and teachers, generously donated by Apto Solutions.  We are also grateful for the assistance of Reneal partners Habari Node and Arusha Node Marie during the installation work at Nkoarua SS, as well as financial support from the World Vegetable Center for the purchase of computer tables at Nkoarua.

Amani Abeid Karume SS is located in Kondoa District in Dodoma Region, which is a completely new area for Reneal.  Reneal Country Director David Nyangaka has been working closely with the local government officials in Kondoa to facilitate this work.  We are very excited and hopeful that the donated computers will have a very busy new life at this school.

Nkoarua SS is in Meru District.  This is another relatively new area for Reneal, although adjacent to our origin in Arusha District.  A big THANK YOU to Reneal’s Team Tanzania (Robert Nyangaka, Erick Mneney, and Ashura Hamis) for their hard work in both installation and teacher training!

We are expecting several other installations in upcoming weeks, as Reneal deploys the Phase 3 units from Apto Solutions that were shipped in mid-December from the US.  We are so excited that many schools will be beginning the 2022 school year with a new computer lab!
