Phase 1 continues [2021-06-09]

In the time since my last post, progress on the 2021 Phrase 1 projects has continued.  Reneal’s Team Tanzania and partners from Habari Node and Arusha Node Marie completed installation and training for the new computer lab at Kinana Secondary School.  We are so excited to have Kimaseki, Suye, Elerai, and Kinana Secondary Schools as part of the Reneal family now, thanks to the generous donation from Apto Solutions!  And Reneal’s Team is about midway through the expansions planned for five existing Reneal computer labs in Arusha District.  We hope to have those expanions finished by the end of this month – somewhat of a challenge, since the schools have begun their mid-year break.

But… even as I write this, the Phase 2 equipment from Apto Solutions is making its way westward!  It is scheduled to arrive Friday, at which point Reneal Headquarters will be happily overwhelmed with work.  Neal has already completed building the necessary eleven servers, with only one still needing some additional testing and software loading.  Once we check out everything and pack it, the boxes will be shipped to Tanzania.  Then, through the rest of 2021, Reneal’s Team Tanzania will be installing eleven new computer labs at public high schools in Tanzania.  Reneal couldn’t do it without our partners and donors!  THANKS Apto Solutions, Habari Node, and Arusha Node Marie!

In the past week, Reneal Country Director David Nyangaka has been busy with the coordination efforts for the annual visit of Tanzania’s National Torch (Mwenge wa Uhuru).  The Mwenge wa Uhuru travels around the country each year, and we are very excited that the Mwenge will be brought this year to two schools with Reneal computer labs!  Congratulations to Reneal Team Tanzania for this honor!
